The EYE+ Controller is equipped with two LEDs that display information about its state. The Power LED shows whether the EYE+ Controller is currently powering/powered on. The System LED allows you to know at a glance which internal state the EYE+ system is in as shown in the following table (assuming the Power LED is on).

Reset button

The reset button triggers a System factory reset. This can be used e.g. to regain access to the system if you enabled User Access Control and forgot the password.

Important

Resetting the system to factory defaults will clear all data on the EYE+ Controller. Make sure to have a backup ready if you need to restore data.

Tip

We recommend using a 2 mm (5/64 inch) Allen key to press the button.

To trigger a factory reset, please follow this procedure:

  1. Power off the EYE+ Controller.

  2. Press the reset button. Do not release it.

  3. Power on the EYE+ Controller with the reset button still pressed.

  4. Keep the reset button pressed until the System LED starts strobing. This can take up to 1 minute.

  5. As soon as the System LED starts strobing, release the reset button.

  6. The System LED will turn off for 2 seconds and strobe again for 2 seconds to confirm a factory reset will be triggered.

After you complete the factory reset procedure, EYE+ will start as usual and after a short while, you will be able to access the system using its default IP address (General Ethernet Settings).

Note

If you do not release the reset button within 5 seconds in step 5., the factory reset procedure will be aborted.
