EYE+ Studio 5.0.0
Released on 2024-09-04
New Features
User Access Control
User Access Control (UAC) ensures that only authenticated individuals can access the data and functionalities of EYE+ Studio. Those who are not authenticated can only view the dashboard data (or not depending on your settings), while the rest remains confidential until someone logs in with the admin password.
This feature is optional and is not enabled by default. Regardless of the UAC settings, TCP/IP and Fieldbus commands remain unaffected.
Secure Connection
With this update, EYE+ gains the ability to setup an encrypted connection between EYE+ Studio and EYE+ Controller. This will make it so all data exchanged between the two can be decrypted by no one else, making sure your data stays safe from any malicious actor trying to monitor the connection.
To use the Secure Connection feature, you need to provide EYE+ Studio with a valid SSL/TLS certificate.
This is an optional feature and is disabled by default. TCP/IP & Fieldbus commands are unaffected by Secure Connection settings.
Hardware Factory Reset
You can now use the hardware button on EYE+ Controller to restore the system to factory defaults when it is starting.
Improvements
General
EYE+ states: a new Remote Migration has been added to the EYE+ state machine to prevent possible unwanted state changes.
The behavior of the Status LED has been altered to make it easier to identify what is happening with EYE+ Controller during all the time before EYE+ reaches the READY state.
Advanced Purge
Improve algorithm to yield better performance, especially on Asycube 530
Purge results: clicking on the button will open the purge flap. This makes purge flap behavior uniform throughout the recipe wizard.
Recipe Wizard
Picking Conditions - Picking Limits: Limits can now be set to be larger than 1/3 of the total length of the region of interest
3.3 Candidate Classification: Improve general performance of the step.
Resolved issues
General
System Migration: Fixed an issue where recipe migration would fail when using an Asycube 50 or 80 and the hopper amplitude was set to 0%.
System Migration: Fixed an issue where the system would display the System Migration dialog indefinitely.
EYE+ states: Fixed an issue where the system would not transition to the expected state in some very specific cases. A new state was also added for the remote recipe migration process.
System restore: Fixed an issue where restoring a backup could fail the first time.
Hand-eye calibration
7. Hand-Eye Calibration Validation: Fixed an issue where the results table would appear to load indefinitely if no candidate was found.
1. Hand-Eye Calibration Recipe: Fixed recipes having to have a configured vibration sequence to be usable for hand-eye calibration. This step now requires a recipe with a pick angle configured as expected.
Recipe Wizard
Picking Conditions - Results: Fixed an issue where the results table would appear to load indefinitely if no candidate was found.
Picking Conditions - Picking Limits: Fixed an issue where the picking limits could overlap.
Candidate Selection - Results: Fixed an issue where candidates were randomly marked as rejected whereas their score was above the threshold.
Qualification Wizard
3. Results: Fixed inconsistent values displayed in the qualification results in some cases.
Advanced Purge
Stop purge: In TCP/IP, if the stop purge command were to return a flap timeout error, the system would still exit the purge mode but report an error code. Now the system will stay in the purge mode until whatever is causing the timeout is fixed.
Configuration
System: Fixed issue where the buttons for aborting the current action were shown while a system restore was in progress.
